Personal | Betrayal – Title Sequence

This is a Title Sequence called, Betrayal, which I created while completing the Digital Design Program at Vancouver Film School in 2015. I wanted to create a motion title sequence for a fictitious World War II Documentary or HBO TV series, about an aspect of the Second World War.
I took archival footage and audio from World War II and the war in the Pacific; sorted and then selected those that drove the narrative. The next step was to interlace the footage and audio with my own captured macro footage of practical effects; ie, breaking down black chalk, burning high grade paper, and wax drips.

Inspirations were Band of Brothers and three other title sequences; The Pacific, We are Giants and Manhunt. I have a lot of respect for Manija Emran and Danny Yount; they have both been and remain great sources of inspiration.
